GLOUCESTER, Mass., Jan 18, 2001 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ: VSEA chart, msgs), today announced that the company plans to announce its fiscal 2001 first quarter earnings late afternoon after the market closes on Thursday, January 25. A conference call to review the quarter's results, as well as the outlook for it business, is scheduled to follow the announcement at 5 p.m. eastern time that day.
The conference webcast will be publicly available on Varian Semiconductor's website at www.vsea.com. In addition to the live webcast, replays will be available to the public on Varian Semiconductor's website through February 1, 2001.
