I use OpenBSD on a old Dell XPS 133 using 2 nics (10 BaseT) for the cable modem and the other (10/100) to the 10/100 hub. You can have as many computers as you like set up to the network and security is solid. OpenBSD makes a good firewall and no limits how many computers can be set up using that cable modem.

Problem, I don't do the set up, as when it comes to security, I let the experts handle the firewall. Since he does that kind of work everyday, I feel better letting him set up the machine.

You can have the best firewall in the world, but if it's poorly configured by someone who does not know what they are doing, it's useless.
