Well it won't be the simpleton...that's for certain. Cheney or Lindsey...it hardly matters if their plans clash with Uncle Al's. The stupidest thing the WH or Treasury could do is fight the Fed...

Larry Lindsey went through a confirmation hearing? I don't think that's necessary for the Chief Economic Advisor. You must be thinking of O'Neill's confirmation hearings for Treasury Sec. this past week. Or are you referring to a hearing in the early 1990's when he was with the Fed?
