Moving Sphere,
Your contributions to the thread are much appreciated and require some reflection through this week's trading. Your mentions of "fight or flight" have struck a chord with me. I've read a few books and articles with this very theme and have worked on the aspects of what makes some people avoid while some to stand strong (sometimes this is good and bad obviously) over the past few months of my trading.
As for intuition, I believe in it no doubt as I feel it from time to time, sometimes stronger at times, sometimes non-existant. However, my intuition as I derive from self reflection happens in a very short time period, allowing my "feeling" of the trade or the stock's personality to start and end within a smaller period.
I guess my future goals entail learning to lengthen that intuitive feel. I believe intuition is something that is gained over time, over years of experience in some fashion, whether trading or not, and my current system of trading is one of taking the faster profits based on the action that I've developed my feel for. While I have been feeding my family on such a system, I've resolved to lengthen this feeling (intuition) to trades that may yield the "more per trade" scenario. I may never develop this. Who knows, I may be conditioned too much for my current style, but I want to explore the opportunity. As for integrating the TA with my tape reading strength, I appreciate the advice and will continue to research and develop this style to see if it will allow my intuition to grow.
Again, thanks for your contributions to the thread. They are words that many will learn from.
All the best,
