yes it is incredibly stupid that the authorities continue to behave as it they were succeeding. it is a mindless robot that continues to create more damage, at a higher cost than even considering an alternative.

we could be far better off if by now we would have changed to a more reasonable approach. instead we are shooting ourselves in the face (not even in the foot).
