Those in the broadcasting business tell me the leading maker of HDTV equipment now such as cameras and editing systems is Panasonic, a division of Matsushita (MC- ADR). panasonic.com A leading maker of HDTV transmitters is Harris Corporation (HRS). And I know a couple of leading chip makers are Motorola (MOT) and Hitatchi (HIT-ADR) in broadcast equipment. But as to which companies will make and sell the most HDTV-related chips for consumer use, I have not a clue. If any visitors have insight into that, please post and join the group.
