The idea that heroin is fairly innocuous was imparted to me when I took classes to be a drug and alcohol counselor in the mid 80s. There was much bunkum imparted in those classes, but that one had the ring of truth to it.

I've known a few people like your friend. I don't feel too sorry for the ones who choose not to stop.

I prefer straight ahead jazz over the more funky variety, but its fun once in a while. Posting to His Blandness reminded me of the song Too Marvelous For Words as sung by Joe Williams. Had to go put the CD on...what a voice!
