Very good report of the fight. I did give one of the rounds to Corrales though...have no idea which one though...I think it was the 6th or 7th.

I had great seats, about 6 rows back off of the red corner and right along the rail for the fighter's entrance. There is a very good chance that I made it in some of the shots when the fighters were walking in:-)

I do think that Corrales' corner stopped the fight prematurely. Diego was lucid and his eyes were clear. He was being taken apart by Mayweather systematically, but Diego is great at coming back from an apparent deficit and I think that his corner should have let him make the hail mary attempt. Mayweather had a plan and the skills and speed to execute that plan. I was damned impressed.

They were shooting parts of an upcoming movie "Oceans Eleven" and the movie crew and entourage was a pain in the ass. They kept on standing up in front of us during the undercards. After the ushers asked them to sit down about twelve times, I finally said "excuse me!!! SIT DOWN!!!". That got the attention of the two chicks in the entourage who looked a little taken aback. They finally decided to exit the area and it was only then that I noticed that it was Laura Dern and an incredibly emaciated Meg Ryan.

Saw a bunch of stars and fighters...including Roy Jones Jr...ho hum

The highlight of my night came later when I was playing craps. It was about 4:00am and I was alone at the table building a nice little collection on the rail when Corrales' entourage came up to the table. Long story short, he was pretty depressed when he came to the table and it wasn't helping that he was losing. I ended up teaching Corrales how to play craps and we both walked away significant winners. I was rolling hard ways like a madman. Oh, and he also invited me to be his guest at his next fight in Vegas this coming June against Castillo. I think that the emotional reaction that he gave after the fight is understandable, but obviously he was together enough to have something in the pipeline. I didn't ask him about the fight, but one guy in his entourage was blaming the loss on him having bronchitis...to Diego's credit, he told the guy to shut up. He is truly a nice guy, almost shy and he seemed very surprised that anybody (me) would be nice to him without expecting something. His wife was there and was clearly devoted to him and he to her.
