Yes peak mango season in our part of Chiapas is April-May, some years in some places so many come ripe at once that i've seen 10cm of fruit and slime covering the ground in circles around the trees, village pigs in their glory ... there's an experimental farm in Campeche where they've been playing with ways to extend the season, especially on the early side ... some really strange experiments, they'll try anything they think might work, one time they covered three or four trees with plastic and they died and rotted in about a week ... well duh, tropical sun ... but they've had some successes with breeding ... did you know that there are eight hundred known species of mangos on the planet, at least one hundred of which have been commercialised at times ... if you're on Luzon, looks like you're a couple of degrees of latitude south of us ... what a place of islands, looks beautiful ... but i suppose the bandidos make kayaking an unwise practice.
A guy whose judgment i respect passed me cd.ny and insp.nas on thursday night, well cd moved well and i missed it, but on account of his theory that insp would move on monday following options expiration i bought a whole block of five hundred ... which is kind of funny, one time i started up a thread called 'gnet, a great short or what' because of them killing real SI ... first time i ever had a position in it though, never shorted anything yet ... i do hope they survive, i'd like to think this thread will be preserved intact until Elián gets online and picks up a little inglés, he could grab his first real understanding of the absurdity of the species right here. |
