Bill - Re; GaAs and RISC Are you aware of the current status of GaAs IC technology? It has been in development for 20 - 25 years and, although it does have inherent speed advantages, companies working in that technology can produce only relatively small devices economically. Check it out. You'll quickly realize why GaAs is not ready for prime time CPUs. Paul
