I'd add that the graffitti is written and defended with a considerable degree of ego and passion thrown in. The traditional wisdom is that investors have to fight fear and greed. I'd say that the dragon has three heads, not two, and that the third head is ego. Forums like SI generally feed the fire, encouraging the participants first to articulate their thoughts, and then to go to immoderate or ill-considered lengths in defending them! Such debates might or might not be enlightening to the readers, but I think they often come at a cost to the objectivity of the participant, as the need to be "right" eclipses other considerations. An observation for the thread in general, FWIW. Thanks, Scott, for your contributions to the thread.
