Yeah, its great news! I feel comfortable with Meyer. I bet the engineers like that someone that can think like them is in charge of the processor group.

I just checked and this position is what Larry Hollatz had until he "resigned" at the end of August. It took AMD until today to officially give the job to someone.

I hope Ruiz doesn't have too much influence over Meyer in this position even though Meyer will report to him. I've grown weary of Ruiz. Since he came over it seems as if his mouth has done more action than him. And that's not good if Sanders is grooming him to be the next CEO, not good at all...
