Hi Wharfie, <<Are you going to go to Normandy too?>> After we leave Paris, we're taking the train to Deauville and plan to visit Normandy.I know it will be a moving experience remembering what it was like on those beaches on D-Day 1944. I grew up during the war...and remember it.Even though I was in grade school, it had a profound effect on my life.The war was all consuming,so to speak. Everyone had someone fighting somewhere...Europe or the Pacific...brothers (as mine was),fathers,neighbors,friends. Then my generation of young men fought in Korea. Thankfully for all of us,we're at peace now. Whitey
