Kline Named Distribution Head for
JMAR Semiconductor
Industry Veteran Heads Up East Coast Sales, As Well
IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 22, 2001--Paul Kline, an electronics industry sales
professional with more than 25 years experience, was named director of distribution and eastern
area sales for JMAR Semiconductor Inc., it was announced Monday.
JMAR Semiconductor is a unit of JMAR Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq:JMAR - news).
Marv Sepe, JMAR Semiconductor president, said that the new position is part of the company's
expansion into the merchant semiconductor market. It also reflects the increased importance of
distributors and reps in serving the growing market for telecom and other communications devices.
According to Sepe, Kline is opening an east coast office for JMAR Semiconductor in the Boston
area at the Massachusetts Technical Center.
Prior to joining the Irvine-headquartered company, Kline was vice president of sales at Interface
Electronics, near Boston. In addition to working closely with major communications circuit
manufacturers like NEC, Fujitsu and Dallas Semiconductor, he also worked with many major OEM
accounts, including Motorola and Lucent Technologies.
He was also manager of distribution for Panasonic Industrial Co. where he restructured the
distribution program to make it more sales efficient. Prior to joining Panasonic in 1995, he held a
series of sales management positions with Nu Horizons and Standard Microsystems, both in the
New York area.
