this is one unbelievable article and I am still trying to pick my jaw up from the floor.

Regarding pop, I think 200M is a little much but I bet you they average 5+ million per city. That would be still be 100 million pop in very high density locations.

I think non Chinese readers need to realize the 20 cities are spread out from the Burmese border to the S China Sea.

My personal opinion is how could this be possible? On the other hand, how could a reporter arbitrarily make up 20 very specifically named cities?

May be they are CDMA WLL cities?

May be they are part of the left over grand scheme of Great Wall?

May be it is just planned with no cell sites or BSTs yet?

May be someone should hop on a plane to go visit these 20 cities and look for cell cites?
