Dataram Provides Memory for New HP NetServers
PRINCETON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 23, 2001--Dataram Corporation (NASDAQ: DRAM - news) a leading provider of gigabyte-class memory for high-performance network servers, today announced the immediate availability of memory for Hewlett-Packard's new NetServer LP 1000r and 2000r systems.
The NetServer LP 1000r is an ultra-thin 1U (1.75-inch) server with dual Intel® Pentium® III processors. Ultra-thin server designs enable customers to install up to 42 systems in a 2-meter rack. The LP 2000r is a 2U (3.5-inch) server also supporting two processors. These servers are aimed at service providers and corporate data centers and are ideal for Web-hosting, infrastructure applications, and server-based computing applications.
Both HP NetServer models support up to 2GB of Dataram memory, available in 256MB, 512MB and 1GB capacities. Each Dataram memory upgrade consists of a single 133MHz, ECC-protected SDRAM module.
Dataram offers memory upgrades for other systems in the NetServer family such as the E60, E800, LC 2000, LH 3000, LPr, LT 6000, and LXr8000. Server-based applications exhibit the most memory-hungry demands on system performance. Adding Dataram products allows customers to maximize system memory in the most economical manner.
