Republic Goldfields Inc. reports that the Letter Of Intent entered into on October 17, 2000, with Celebrity Infonet Corporation, and reported in a news release dated October 26, 2000 providing for a business combination of the two companies has been terminated due to changed market conditions. As a result of the proposed transaction, trading in Republic on the CDNX was halted on October 19, 2000.
