Flarion gets Dr.V on board
----------

Interesting - and curious....

Q has no apparent involvement in OFDM - a technology touted as possible successor to CDMA related technologies. So one might expect Flarion to be viewed as hostile to Q's vested interests...

All of Q's challengers - NOK, MOT, ERICY, Alcatel, Infineon are involved in the OFDM Forum (also Samsung)
ofdm-forum.com

I perceive OFDM (Wide-band Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) as perhaps the only profound technology threat to Q IP for 4G...

Has anyone seen any Q patent applications for OFDM, or know of ongoing research? Q is definitely not participating in the OFDM Forum. What might Dr. V's participation imply?

Rather disturbing to me.....
