re: Buying on pull backs,

There are plenty stocks that are doing just that. AVCI, JNPR for example, both of which obviously bounced off trend lines and channel lines. I'm seeing nice rotation and recoveries in the stocks that I follow. Furthermore, there are plenty of stocks that didn't even enter into a downtrend, EMLX for one. The point I'm getting to is that it just little old me seeing these things, it's the late money from the funds. You can see that in how the market holds in a mixed fashion then shoots higher once the late money, or the money that is looking to buy on a dip, sees that there is not going to be a market wide dip to buy because of the rotation. Another example of rotation is how IBM is acting now after it's large gap.
