You seem reasonably acquianted with GMGC. Do you know anything about the "rumored" Sun acquisition? I'm not trying to spread rumors or anything, but this was caused by SUN itself at a recent JAVA conference. Apparently a Sun Executive giving a speech stated Sun was in the market for a Light operating system for PDA's and stated, "like what General Magic has". You can see the activity the day after that speech was heavy. This seems to make sense as their technologies are complementary. (see one of the press releases on 6/25 discussing Tabriz, etc.) A poster on AOL e-mailed these thoughts to me: Also, don't discount Microsoft as a possible company interested in General Magic. There will be many entrees into the PDA market for wireless internet access. E-Mail will be the driving factor. Wireless will be RF and celluar. Look for Metricom to win big with their own infrastructure. You will be hearing alot from this company in the near future as they rapidly expand into different regions. Don't be surpised to see this stock soar as Major PDA manufacturers announce agreements with Metricom and their Richoccete technonlogy. Maybe Sun/GMGC or MSFT/GMGC is the main choice for PDA operating systems??? Good Luck!
