Technology Stocks : AOL, now I get it

Glenn, The real question is what do you mean by a future? If you mean, will the latest marketing strategy carry it to the moon? My guess this that the moon would need to be in a very low orbit.

On the other hand, if you mean are customers going to stay around for 42 months to allow AOL to amortize their acquisition cost? My guess is that depends on an internet access alternative. And that depends on the RBOCs, Cable Co, untried highspeed modems.

AOL's future is no longer in AOL's hands. Bad situation for any company and terrible situation if the company has been cooking the numbers.

I have no position in AOL, long or short. I would NOT recommend any friend taking a position.
