Off Topic: GLW Market Share in Optical Fiber

Ibexx and thread: Does anyone have data on Corning's share of the global optical fiber market? An Article in Light Reading from October said GLW has 85 percent of the market followed by Lucent 10 percent and Alcatel 5 percent with all other players at the noise level. Corning's own statements from earlier in 2000 said they have 40 percent. What is the truth here? Is it possible that demand for GLWs latest version of NZDSF/LEAF is so great because of its superior performance for DWDM networks that demand for standard singlemode fiber and dispersion shifted fiber have basically fallen off a cliff, and GLW's share of the market has doubled in less than a year? I know most the new network builds favor LEAF but doubling share in less than a year would be phenomenal. Any input would be appreciated.
