Since there seems to be some AMD "experts" on this thread I thought I would ask this "technical" question. As I have stated many times I have been using AMD processors exclusively for the last several years and loved the product.

Well I just had my guy put together a new machine with an AMD processor. When he put it together he found the NEW processor defective and we had to get another one (which btw solved the problem).

Now a number of years ago we were using Western Digital HD's until all of a sudden we got a run of bad ones. I posted this on the WD thread and was run off but found that it was definitely a new pattern for WD and needless to say the rest is history.

Now the question. Is this just a random event we ran into or is AMD letting quality fall to push product out the door? If so it will not bode well for AMD and I will sell my long position. I certainly hope it was just a fluke but will know soon as we are in the process of building several more. I really would hate to have to go back to intel processors. AMD has the opportunity to become a REAL player against intel and I hope they don't botch it.
