OT/I just found out CA has no energy crisis because
they have 17 mothballed Power Plants!.
As I understand it, because of an enviromental law
passed by the populace, once a plant reaches a certain
No. of hours of production and a certain No. of
particles in the air of pollution, it is stopped.
So they have the Power plants, they just don't want to use them.
Their modus operandii then is to have the neighbouring
states, ( OR etc ), produce the energy, pollute themselves,
and then pass the energy produced to CA, listen to this,
at below market values !! .
So far, Bush's 2 week extension of power subsidy to CA is costing
US taxpayer 100 Million Dollars a day
1.5 Bill. in 2 weeks.
