HI all - Ian, I'd like to add 2 points. First, similar to your IBM analogy, COBOL is dead, long live COBOL <vbg>! Second, more important, people don't follow NT business plan simply miss a lot. There is a lot more than just dark fiber. NT recent deal to be an outsourcer of mged svs is one example. If there were a fiber glut, smaller outfits and new entries would be the ones to go first. NT is building out 32 of the 40 major network. So, who will remain in the game? Also, even if there were a glut, people would still choose to light up the fiber with the most bang for the buck. Ultimately, by the sheer force of free mkt competition, NT will outlast its new and old competitors. Incidentally, by then, NT will be riding high on 3G plus a recurring revenue base via its effort in svs. Not sure how many of its competitors could weather storm if the storm did hit

best, Bosco
