The Democrats have demonstrated fiscal responsibility. They have also supported free trade. Also, Mr. Clinton, unlike past presidents such as Bush and Reagan, never pressured Mr. Greenspan into raising or lowering interest rates. My neighbors have prospered over the last eight years and so have many others. By contrast, Bush wants to build up the military and has proposed the huge tax cut that you mentioned. The cold war is over but Bush also proposes spending millions if not billions on a military shield against missiles. How will other nations view the huge build-up in the military? How will they react to a military shield. We don't need missiles. We need peace, free trade and fiscal responsibility.!
