Wrong. According to Zogby - who everyone seems to agree is the most accurate - Reagan had higher job approval when he left office than Clinton - 63% for Reagan and 58% for Clinton. And people prefer Reagan over Clinton by a huge margin. Heck, he elected his Veep easily.

And there's another component - how people view Clinton as a man - and that's where Clinton's manifest untrustworthiness and mendacity exact an accurate toll. In that area Clinton ranks as the absolute worst President with the lowest marks in the history of polling.

Let's face it, Clinton was such a burden that for the first time in memory an "In" party lost office during peacetime in what was perceived to have been a booming economy. Now that is an accomplishment Clinton can take credit for.
