From, what I've read Bush plans to spend big money on military, including missile
defense shield.

Big money is a relative term. As a % of current US military spending, or as a % of total government spending, or a a % of GDP any increase will be at most moderate and may actually be tiny. It will be less (in inflation adjusted dollars) that the amount spent on social programs increases.

While, the Cold War with Russia is over, bid spending by the US on military may provoke other
countries to react.

The Cold war is over and US military spending declined greatly in response to that.

It would be better to spend the money on EDUCATION, and on HEALTH CARE.
Or even PUBLIC TRANSIT!

In my opinion these things are better left to state government, local government, or the market then to have them provided by big federal programs. In any case the amount spent by the federal government in these three areas combined will increase by a larger percentage then military spending will.

We should also maintain fiscal responsibility by staying out of debt.
We do not need missiles! We need peace and free trade. You think if we threaten other
countries with mour missile systems that they will want to engage in free trade?

There is no plan to go out and conquer the world. If anything Bush is likely to deploy the military less often the Clinton did. Missile defense is just that defense. Other increases are needed just to maintain our current technological edge and increase readiness. There will be little or no increase in the number of soldiers, tanks, aircraft, and ships in the US military brought on by any increase in spending pushed by Bush.
