I did not contest your observation about the approval ratings. (Why would I have linked to Gallup, in that case?) I said it was not not quite relevant to the point I was making. Clinton disgraced his office, whatever his job approval ratings. If his job approval rating were 99%, Clinton would still have disgraced his office. Additionally, "defining deviancy down" is not a good things for a culture: if a majority honestly let him off the hook, that is a bad thing, not a good thing.........
