Thanks for the persuasive argument. You convinced me.

When you hear Bush or an oil company say "We can extract the oil with minimal environmental damage", do you question it?

Did you think that the Galapagos Islands were at risk from oil contamination? Did the residents of Valdez think that they were at risk? Did the folks in Santa Barbara think they were at risk?

Oil is dirty, destructive business. No way around it, and no point pretending otherwise.

BTW: I used to be a geologist.
