JDSU, SDLI delay merger end Wednesday, January 24, 2001 --4:03 pm - By Chris Kraeuter JDS Uniphase (JDSU: news, msgs) and SDL (SDLI: news, msgs) said they now expect to complete their merger in February. For a second time, the two companies have postponed shareholder votes on the merger because “of the time required to complete the regulatory process,” according to today’s joint statement. JDS said it submitted a proposed remedy to the Justice Department as a response to concerns. On Dec. 27, the two companies cancelled votes and rescheduled them for Jan. 26. The re-rescheduled meetings are now slated for Feb. 12. www2.marketwatch.com
