NW, I was also told ...
that Capellas is pretty mad about the biased coverage -- and erroneous in some instances -- and that they are working on having some major publications (which I won't name here) print corrections to their articles of today. One of those major publications is available both in print and over the net, for subscriptions of course (hint, hint). Let's see how effective they can be at working the PR circles. They also told me that analysts were pleased and surprised, taking serious note of the performance while the PR battle had to be won more so on the individual investor's mind, in their opinion. Some analysts (such as one that spoke this morning on TV in not a very favorable light, has not asked Compaq for their financial models, or provided Compaq with his firm's financial models either, and does not return phone calls as well. That, in my opinion, is as biased and unprofessional as it gets, especially when one is getting paid to do the job. I hope that dog gets his day soon.
