Tom, Ah yes, 64-bit Windows NT. I think it will be out soon... What about 64-Bit Windows NT coming out for Alpha soon? 64-bit NT won't be available on an Intel machine for awhile. Also, what do you expect from a 266MHz. a 500Mhz would be better. Message 1882503 Ah the "real" companies sacrificed for the good of Wall St's "new era"...The Apple commercial had it right - we WERE assimilated. So true ... at least in DEC's case. I think that it was all DEC management's fault. I think that when they failed to make a credible entry in the 32-bit RISC market, they let let upstarts like SUN, and HP eat their lunch in the workstation market. That being said, if Microsoft had got 64-bit NT out in 1997 or 1998 it might have saved the company. Right now, I am working on a getting a a new computer system. It is a real-time distributed computer system that has 7 DS20's running OpenVMS integrated with 5 Dell's running NT on Pentium III's. If DEC was selling 64-bit NT or 2000, there's a good chance it would have been 12 DS20's. Regards, John Sladek
