Corning conference call tomorrow morning. Expect the tone to get a little more upbeat by then.



You were right in an earlier post when you said GLW had broadened guidance, which leaves air on the high end as well as elbow room on the lower.

Besides SDL's careful guidance --- no change to earlier estimates, though some room to beat by 2 to 3 cents --- I've heard from all fronts that once we get through a choppy Q1/Q2, we could seen a significant rebound, making up for all that was lost. Many fail to realize Europe is experiencing rapid growth, including explosive ramp in DSL sales, as is Japan, and Asia-Pacific is not far behind. I've been in the Valley for two days (just got home this afternoon) and my "guidance" is up to the minute. Anyone judging future growth on US figures alone will be in for a rude awakening.
