Oh I don't doubt for a second that Japan's cheap yen export strategy is fatally flawed -- I just don't see how a strong yen helps either. Japan needs to really bite down hard and restructure their companies, their economy and their society IMO -- and the yen will strengthen based on their success in doing so. Until then, they will continue to have all the smart people with money shipping their capital to the US or Europe. I don't defend Japan for one second. I just don't see their salvation coming from a currency revaluation. S Now, speaking of gold -- what the heck is going on with the yellow metal -- can anybody explain it? TIA.
