John F., I saw the segment on CNBC. Smith's comments were ignorant. The billions of $'s of R$D exense is what makes (has made) INTC such a dominant force at the heart of the technology revolution. The guest was completely clueless as to INTC's significance. Your observation with respect to consumer giants spending tons on advertising is great. One day, and it may be a long time because WS types are rather slow, WS will recognize that technology is not a fad but the most important fastest growing (long term) segment of our economy. A long term investment in solid tech companies will surely outperform the overall market during my lifetime. We've only just begun, FF
