OT/We have Sen. Byrd talking now on Senate/Greenspan testimony. He clearly suffers suffers from slowed thought and speech process as he talks but he has not given up yet unfortunately. The latest from Byrd, from the Old Democratic School of tax and spend : " It is easy to lower taxes but it is difficult to raise them ." " How much is $1.7 trillion tax cut? Well...." " $1 bill is $1/day since Jesus was born." " Thus $1 trill is $1000/day since Jesus was born! " " Nobody in West Vir. is asking me for a tax cut. " "What will my grandaughter say if I give this Gargantuan tax cut? " ------------------------------------------------- Senator Byrd, in his morbid state of galloping senile dementia and glaucoma forgot to see and to mention that Over the next 10 years -GDP will be ~ 150 trillion -that 1.7 trillion Bush tax cut _i_s___1.1_% __o_f__G_D_P__!_!_!_!__ Thus this moron is squeamish about giving Americans a 1.1% tax cut so we can get the Economy off the dime. This sort of fossilized thought is similar to thought processes that must have killed The Great Roman Empire 2000 years ago. The guy is dangerous and should be locked up in a mental and geriatric institution, in my opinion. BTW wait till Sen. Byrd tells his grandaughter that unless spending is cut, she will be paying ~80 cents on every dollar she makes to pay the National Debt and The Interest on the debt . When she does find out , I wouldn't be surprised to see her go out on the graveyard and puke on grandpa's grave. Mighty pissed off grandaughter will be. ( Unless of course, in the great Democratic tradition of the Byrds at that time she is on the dole and welfare at which point she'll be lighting up a candle for grandpa ), back later TA
