But, just for the sake of taking the other side), next time you buy a CD, and it costs $15, ask yourself how much money it took to produce, package, market and finally sell it.
Think not of just the top selling artists, but of the others that don't sell millions of copies.
I don't know what it does take to bring a CD to market, but what more than the artist's talent has he put up?
BTW, I consider my ceramics art, there for, I consider myself an artist, so I'm not trying to sell them cheap here.
When I sell a piece in a gallery, I give 25-50% commissions. Some places take up to 80% of the sell.
SO I can sell them cheaper by myself, but could I sell as much as I might art someone's gallery? |
