i think it's rather worrisome that these job cuts happen at an unprecedented speed...in the information economy

If you recall, a few months ago I was arguing about this with a few thread members. They were taking the side that "it's different this time" and I was saying there will be TL & EV for tech workers as I was seeing the first signs of it at IBM back then. I think it will get much worse.
