Well...Andy, at this point I don't know whether it was out of bounds or not because H has so many posts that are in contention with one another. He is an he ain't. He came on this thread running off at the mouth on his first post and has never stopped to listen to what some of us try to tell him for his own good. Then we use stronger methods to get our point across.

But now it seems that he no longer believes that alcoholism is a disease of the mind and body. Now he thinks it is based on a weak will. In the context that he now says he believes, I wish that I had not posted to him the AA statement. But prior to that he was spouting off at the mouth and telling Barney how he and AA would straighten Barney's friend out. Told about his meetings and the slips he had. He was walking, talking and looking like an AA member. Now he reverses himself and disagrees with AA and the medical profession on what alcoholism is.

I have always been willing to help a drunk, dry or wet, if they show a desire to be helped. Its sad to watch an untreated sot wallow in the mud but I have given up on him. Until he is able to take a close look in the mirror, then he will have to stay in his self made hell.

What really bothers me is that H is not just hurting himself.
