My response was not intended as an insult to anyone..... And I was sorry to read this: "and how as an identified person of a liberal persuasion, maybe even leftist (I do get confused on that stuff) feels when someone I think of as a friend says something along the lines of "liberals are dirt" that I question whether we can be friends, since clearly they thing I am dirt. But I ran out of steam." I have friends who are clearly liberal, and I don't think of them as "dirt." And I don't think they think of me as "dirt" either. We, happily, view each other as good people, and accept that we see some issues differently....and isn't trying to find common ground what it's all about???????.....Think about it.... Greta
