My favorite scene was when the wildcatter stuck the double barreled shotgun behind the ear of the oil company official,cocked both hammers, PI$$ed down his leg, & said "Businessmen sometimes do this to each other". Perhaps ABX has only been doing what they needed for survival, oiling the shotgun, putting 00 buck in one barrel & a number 8 birdshot in the other, waiting on the side of that rig for the exact right moment.... Then again, George C. Scott lost that one in the movie.
