Mark, your estimates are reasonable and proably conservative. Lets take this another step further. You 're the management representing the majority shareholders. Why should you do this deal, when your stock will clearly be higher in a couple of years almost giving your investors the same return. And there is the real posibility the stock will move up when the economy slows down and interest rates drop. Besides, who wants to be another also ran executive at ATT? All you really need is another foeign Telecom with the same savy as British Telecom and you have the makings of a Multi-National super Telecom. I can imagine all kinds of posibilities this management may be positioning itself for. $60 a share looks cheap to me.
