I think it's only going to take compromise first and a limited meeting of the minds after that. Compromise! Arghh! Compromise is an abomination, right up there with masturbation and shellfish. <g> The only time to compromise, IMO, is when there are a number of widgets involved and you can split them. Compromise doesn't work with issues. Neither does persuasion. We spend time knocking our heads against the wall trying to persuade the other person while they're trying to persuade us. And we conclude that the best we can achieve is to agree to disagree. A waste of energy and brainpower, IMO. It's a shame when people can't be more open-minded and creative than that. Karen
