Silicon warrior: In speaking with IR, did you get the impression that the content of the Kaufman note was inaccurate or that they merely had not confirmed the content by speaking with Winstar mgmt?

On Jan 22, Ken Hoexter at Merrill came out with a Q4 preview for Winstar. In that report he expressed concern about Winstar's accounts receivable which increased from $174 mln at Q2 end to $230 mln at Q3 end. He warned that if Winstar did not receive payment from the 4 companies that accounted for most of the increase (Wam!net, Williams, Saavis, and Signal?UPC), he would have to consider downgrading the stock.

The Merrill report, which gave no indication of Q4 disappointment away from the receivables issue, coupled with this Kaufman crap today has me wondering!
