P-Com Receives Point-to-Multipoint Orders in Excess of $3
Million for Network Build Out in Japan

CAMPBELL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 25, 2001--P-Com, Inc. (NASDAQ NM:PCOM - news), a high-capacity fixed wireless access
equipment supplier, announced today the receipt of over $3 million in orders for P-Com's award-winning 38 GHz Point-to-Multipoint system from a
new Broadband Wireless Network Provider entering the market in Japan.

The new wireless access provider holds both Point-to-Multipoint and Point-to-Point 38 GHz licenses in Japan, and operates as a competitive carrier
offering Internet and other high-speed data connectivity to its customers. Committed to an aggressive network rollout plan, the carrier is deploying
P-Com's systems to facilitate initial network access in Japan. Initial commercial service offerings of the carrier are planned for introduction in the near
future, with additional network expansion projects to follow.
