I'm happy with the public school my kids attend. Average SAT score 544 verbal, math 561. The scores for the kids in the Gifted and Talented program are much better than that. The number one school in the country for National Merit Semi-finalists is Thomas Jefferson, a Fairfax public school, for the past 10 out of 11 years. 207 total National Merit Semi-finalists in Fairfax County public schools last year.
