PMC-Sierra, which counts No. 1 computer networking equipment maker Cisco Systems Inc. as its largest customer, also said it expected eight of its 10 largest customers will spend less on PMC-Sierra products in the first quarter than they did in the fourth quarter.

As someone in the industry once cautioned: if you sleep with a giant, watch out when he rolls over.
