PMCS getting crushed after hours. From briefing.com Big Stories : Nasdaq 100 futures slipping after hours to -35. Big stories thus far: PMC Sierra (PMCS) guiding numbers sharply lower, hitting other comm IC cos such as BRCM, VTSS, AMCC, and TXCC, and customers such as CSCO and LU. Sawtek (SAWS) also guiding lower and trading down 10 after hours; could impact competition such as RFMD, ANAD, and ATML, and customers such as MOT and LU. JDS Uniphase (JDSU) more cautious outlook, but news apparently discounted after GLW report, JDSU off just over a point after hours. From Cramer: 1/25/01 5:46 PM ET Lets be very clear. CSCO is PMCS's biggest customer. One could interpret that Cisco has simply stopped ordering. The PMCS call is one of the worst disaster i can recall. I am going through my brain trying to recall something this bad, maybe the blow-up on US Robotics?
