When did he mention JC innumerable times?

He didn't. I said that his ceremony/service did and that my greatest problem was with the invocation. I probably could have coped with Dubya's speech and the benediction had I not been overcome with anger during the invocation. You don't know me, but I'm someone who goes for months and even years without experiencing anger. I don't anger easily but I sure reacted to that. I've been trying to find a transcript of it so I could review it thoughtfully. If anyone has a link I'd appreciate it.

Could you explain why you think this is rude, arrogant, and hurtful?

Rude: When you stage a ceremony, let's say a wedding, you make sure that you offer a vegetarian meal to your vegetarian guests. You don't roast a cow on a spit if you have Hindu guests. You don't wear a wedding gown with a neckline plunging to your navel if you have nuns or your first grade teacher as guests. You do those things, even at the expense of your own comfort, because it is poor manners to make your guests feel uncomfortable or unwanted.

Hurtful: Well, it sure doesn't feel good to be on the receiving end of a message that reminds you that you're not part of the club because of your religion. I was at the periodontist today. The woman ahead of me had the accent of a recent immigrant. Her toddler's name was Mustafa. Kosovo, I'd guess, or thereabouts. I wonder how she felt.

Arogant: When you feel you can be rude and hurtful and get away with it because you part of the majority, or you are so wrapped up in your win that you don't even think that some might find your inauguration program rude and hurtful, that's arrogance.

I'm glad you didn't have to ask me why I think it hypocritical. <g>
